5 Creative Ways to Boost Your Hydration + 3 Tips to Make it Happen



You’ve heard it before: drink more water. But hydration is more than just a wellness buzzword, it’s a cornerstone of peak performance, recovery, and overall health. Let’s talk about how to effectively boost your hydration using three main tips to make it happen. 


5 Creative Ways to Boost Your Hydration 


  1. Electrolytes – Key electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and magnesium help the body absorb and retain water more effectively, making them crucial for staying properly hydrated. While there are tons of products out there to help you boost your electrolytes, we love Nuun tablets... our favorite flavor is pink lemonade 🙂


  2. Make Your Water Fancy – Infusing your water with flavor is one of our favorite ways to support hydration. Fruit, herbs, and even vegetables (think: cucumber) add delicious natural flavors to your water or seltzer. We even love using a fancy glass to add some extra interest! Try seltzer, a splash of your favorite juice, fresh lime, and mint. Let us know what you think.


  3. Hydration Popsicles – DIY popsicles are a great post-workout (or anytime) refreshment, delivering fluids and nutrients in a fun, frozen form. There are tons of recipes online to choose from, but we love one that incorporates tart cherry juice. Think: 1 cup unsweetened tart cherry juice, ½ cup coconut water, ½ cup water or herbal tea, 1 tbsp maple syrup.

Did you know? Tart cherry juice is great for muscle recovery and sleep!


  1. Eat Your Water– Many fruits and vegetables have a high water content and can contribute to your daily fluid intake. Think: strawberries, lettuce, cucumber, oranges, watermelon…this sounds like the perfect opportunity for a fruit salad as a delicious quick hydration boost. 



3 Tips To Make it Happen


  1. Focus on Your Routine: There’s no need to create a new plan for hydration. Focus on your daily routine, and use common events as timestamps to reach your hydration goal. For example, I’m going to finish this 8oz bottle of water by the time I drive to work… or by the time I finish my morning meetings. Connect your hydration goals with the routine you already have and set yourself up for success! 


  1. Use Reminder Tools: We love using a water bottle designed to keep track of our progress with visibly marked timestamps. You can find one here , or if you don’t want to purchase a new bottle, use stickers to create your own version on a bottle you already own. We love a good DIY!


  2. Start and End Your Day With Water: Bookend your day with a glass of water–simple hydration wins. Just ensure your evening glass is at least an hour before bedtime to minimize any sleep disruptions (if you know what we mean 😉).


Staying hydrated isn’t just a summer tip, it’s a daily essential. Whether you’re working out or just getting through your day, don’t underestimate the power of hydration.
